The amazing Scott Blackwell of High Wire Distilling Co. joins Lindsay, Nikki and Phil in the studio to explain exactly how he ended up with 600ish pieces of rare Southern folk-art. He also just happened to be hanging out in Athens, Georgia in the early 80’s with a tape recorder and possesses a music nerds’ buried treasure chest of bootlegs from bands like R.E.M. Pylon, and the B-52s. Get your geek on. (part 2 airs next week.)
Audio
this one time Lindsay went to Noma.
In 2010 Lindsay went to Rene Redzepi’s restaurant Noma in Copenhagen and took a tiny little handheld camera. She made this 18 minute short and while it feels more like a school project than an actual film, the footage is pretty rad.
Episode #68: No apron strings attached.

Jenny Rosenstrach is the creator of Dinner: A Love Story the award-winning website, New York Times Bestselling author of Dinner: A Love Story, Dinner: The Playbook, and How to Celebrate Everything. She and her husband, Andy Ward co-wrote the Providers column for Bon Appetit and she joins Nikki and Lindsay in the studio to talk Barbie cakes, required restaurant reading. They discover a new app that gives you no say whatsoever in what you eat for dinner. It’s bossy.
Episode #67: Table for 2 Million?

OpenTable’s CEO Christa Quarles sits down with Lindsay and Nikki to chat cloning, competition and unicorns (as a preference).
Episode #66: Higher Love

Phil, Nikki and Lindsay are reunited to talk Vegas, recreational marijuana, and Nikki shares a hot tip on how to get rid of fruit flies.
Episode #65: Scram, spam, thank you ma’am.

Melanie Durant is the chef/owner at Scram, a highly eggs-cellent new food truck. She joins Lindsay, Phil and Alex Lira to talk Spam, and how she forgot that she apparently has always dreamed of living at the beach and making breakfast for people.
Episode #64: Octopus’s Garden

Alex Lira sits in for our darling Nikki and Phil brings his baby! Don’t be weirded out when the episode just stops after the commercial. The next half of this extra long episode airs next week. It’s a real cliff-hanger.
Episode #63: Oopsie Daisy

Phil forgets to come to the show, so Nikki and Lindsay interview the national treasure that is: Bob Cook. Trey calls and everyone lives happily ever after.
Episode #62: Whisper while you work.

Phil tapes an entire episode holding his perfect 3 month old daughter (which is way harder than it sounds) and the gang learns about a new contraceptive. It’s one quiet riot.
