Episode 194: The Dreamboats with Benjamin Towill and Charles Layton

I am in awe of my two guests Ben Towill and Charlie Layton. This interview features two incredible members of Charleston’s F&B community and I hope you love it and MOST OF ALL DONATE. (Donate by clicking here: https://www.dreamboats.us ). Check out more about The Dreamboats below:

Each year, Talisker Whiskey presents the Atlantic Challenge, a 3,000 mile race across the Atlantic, otherwise known as the world’s toughest row. A testament to endurance, preparation, and hard work, the row attracts 100 or so participants annually, inviting these individuals and the world, to partake in an incomparable journey.  This year, the Dreamboats take on the challenge, raising money for two incredible organizations dedicated to enacting social change through food education and climate science, the Green Heart Project and the 2041 Foundation.

Lindsay dies a zillion deaths after being listed on Cherry Bombe’s 100. She ponders creating a new charity for people to eat white truffles after an extraordinary lunch at Le Farfalle and our SUPER SPECIAL GUEST OF HONOR is none other than Sara Licklider, co-owner of Lioco Wine Co.  It’s an action packed show people!

S4:E1 – NATURALLY NATURAL feat. RENZO

It’s the first episode of Season IV!  The show starts off with a wildly bittersweet announcement. (It’s way bigger and more bitter than you’re even guessing) Then,  Lindsay introduces a new segment called “What’s For Family Meal?” where we find out what the super-fancy team at Bell’s in Los Alamos, CA is slurping down between services AND the one and only chef/owner duo Nayda Freire and Evan Gaudreau are in the studio talking about RENZO.  Plus, we get into what weird voodoo is behind the recent string of restaurant closings in Charleston.  It’s good to be back.
