Episode 203: Blind Tasting with Mere Brugler

Mere Brugler is an amazing young chef (and loyal Effin b radio listener! ๐Ÿ˜˜) who has worked at some of the coolest spots in the country like Chubby Fish, Le Farfalle, Leon’s, Found Oyster and more. But when she got COVID in 2020 she completely lost her ability to taste..which sort of makes cooking um….difficult. Her story is a tough one but I think it holds so much wisdom for anyone in the industry who is trying to figure out where they fit in post-pandemic.

A testament to endurance, preparation, and hard work, the row attracts 100 or so participants annually, inviting these individuals and the world, to partake in an incomparable journey.ย  This year, the Dreamboats take on the challenge, raising money for two incredible organizations dedicated to enacting social change through food education and climate science, the Green Heart Project and the 2041 Foundation.
